Just leg it mate.get the hell out of that shite hole. Not worth the
hassle, and living there is definately not worth paying for. There
are alot nicer places to live in the world where you dont pay tax
or you do pay tax but are worth paying for,for the good living
standards, which you dont get in the UK.
Whilst I agree with the live out-with the UK approach (it has worked for me since 1991), and Gina since 2000, I suggest you get your house in order before advising the UK taxman that you are leaving the country for good. Should the day arrive when you move back you don’t want them nipping at your heels upon your return.
In the meantime contacting the likes of Seatax or our recent new member (tax advisor) Steve White of http://www.YourTaxOffice.co.uk might be the way to go.
True enough. I have seen a few who have moved abroad thinking that it will be alright if they leave it a few years before returning. It won’t ! HMRC take a dim view on those who think they can get away with it……and then there’s peace of mind….
