Would be interested to hear from anyone who has experience working in these fields.

I am looking to get started in this side of the ROV industry and am looking for a few pointers. There is plenty of information on the web (NOAA, DSSI etc), but am interested to hear from the people that actually use the ROVs and do this type of work.

Please feel free to PM me.
    Cheers,
    T

fisheries research services in torry, there’s another group that works with bp on the investigation of orphelia something or other on the magnus platform (or they may work with acergy who were inspection contract holders), rovtech work with frs on a program of videoing around platforms (in spare time) to look at counting fish numbers and types.

I am a newbie though I got interested in the Research & Survey side of ROVs so I enquired to some organizations.

for British Antarctic Survey, work is delivered to Acergy who acquire the ROVs. As for their AUV (Autosub 2),they hired it from their sister organization, NOC (National Oceanography Center, Southampton). NOC’s Peter Mason headed the Isis Project.

also try Odyssey Marine Exploration, Octopus Deep Research (deepresearch.hu), and MIT Sea Grant AUV Lab

    😉
