I heard a rumour that some companies don’t like paying through Isle of Man based companies. Is this true, or is it just another vicious web of lies?
I only ask because being based out of the Isle of Man is an option for me, but there’s no point if it’s going to be a handicap.
never had a problem in the past 12 months. maybe it’s to do with the HMRC paying attention to tax-exiles, etc.
if you are an isle of man resident, i would have thought it’d be good for you to have a company subject to local laws, etc??
Yeah, me too. I don’t think there is an issue, I just recall hearing something about it somewhere recently. It may have been to do with paying UK residents through an Isle of Man based agency, though. can’t remember.
