Fugros trainee rates do vary a bit depending on experience and qualifications
They have recruited some trainees with very loosly connected backgrounds recently which does make it hard work as they have to learn two jobs, roving and mechanics/electrics as well which is why a lot fall by the wayside.

    Technip UKP371 for Subengineer……..nice.

I have never see them advertise for people in the past though…. don’t imagine they would have to at the moment with rates like those.

Even in 2007 we are still getting sold short, £352 a day for platform prod, inst, sparkie Tech’s plus production Bonus ??? and 2 and 3 week working shifts.Thats over £100-£150 a day more for most Pilot/Techs.

I cant understand how you people keep whining about your rate and compare it to some other COMPLETELY different offshore job. ?? Can you explain a bit how instrument tech or production engineer has anything remotely similar to rov operation apart from that it is offshore and you get paid money?

Should all offshore tech’s not be on similar wages, ROV’s are not self fixing.
