Here is what I believe the standards average rates are for all positions. Techs should get anywhere from $20-$25/hr. Lead techs $25-$32/HR, Supervisors $32-$40/hr. All these numbers are based on experience, attitude, people skills and willingness to continue learning and taking intiiative in learning other aspects of the industry, ie: deck work, survey, acronyms and understanding of how the subsea equipment works and are integrated as well as the tooling.

If so, I can’t for the life of me work out how you arrive at your figures…please explain the breakdown?

It’s pretty transparent as far as rates go, albeit last years:

Try multiplying your figures by two (2) 😯

Thanks for sharing that ‘Aqua’ – but what is the point of the thread? Someone else will always think the rates are different to your calculations and there is a pay table on here that people can send their figures in to.

    Aqua,

X 2 MINIMUM!! More like 2.2 – 2.5 . Aqua underwater is stating the piss poor rates in the GOM (obviously). I worked in the GOM in 1996 – 7 , 2 hitches, Supv. rate was 25 – 35/hr. back then. Looking at the dayraters internationally, I guess there’s not too many of us willing to take a massive pay cut like that. To all that think that’s good or decent rate, see rates thraed in this website. Anybody else fed up with this tripe were being fed???

Should be noted, I think that is what the Americans settle for, others working there as staff or Agency not residing in the US tend to get the North Sea rate.

    Lucas,
Correct in one. I’m American but been away for many years and I don’t go for anything less than I normally get (presently higher than N. Sea rates). I was just there in Nov. and made it well known my pay AND what the guys working for me SHOULD get paid.

All US residents, be they US citizens or guys with green cards are paid by the hour in the GOM. Guys going through agencies are dayraters.

What’s your update with your predicament? PM me dude…
