Anyone heard of a ROV called Ocean Modules V8? I know of one prototype that’s been built, but all I have been able to dig up is the smaller V8 Sii ROV.

    R U serious?
Try – Google, Yahoo, Ask, bing or just type ocean Modules V8 into the address bar. They have a workclass design now.
Hope you dont work with anyone I know. I have heard tales of lazy B’s on shift recently, but I must admit I did think that the statements must be gross exaggeration.

First search on Google showed me that (oddly enough) it’s on Ocean Modules website, under Products of all places. Who would have thought of looking there 😉

You can also download Datasheets from the site.

Sub-Atlantic(ish) with tones of Seaowl. They’ll do well on the after-purchase-servicing by the looks of the way the tethers are going to be twisted up!!!

    Re Ocean Module V8’s.
They do look impressive, but I have heard that they have siffered from reliability problems in the past. The Australian Coast Gurad/Customs bought 4 systems and, by all accounts seem to be happy with them.
Has anybody had first hand experience of them? Are they better than, say a Seaeye Falcon for performance and reliability?
    Grateful for any insight.
    Cheers.
