I seem to think DOF subsea (as on the ROV front it’s DOF onboard I think).

    Peterhead welcomes huge offshore vessel
Skandi Aker designed to work in some of the toughest conditions in the world

    Published: 31/03/2010

ONE of the biggest vessels operating in the North Sea offshore industry made a rare appearance in the north-east yesterday, docking for the first time at a UK port.

The 500ft, 16,000 tonne boat berthed at Peterhead harbour en route to Norway after completing deep water trials in the west of the Shetland Isles. The ship, named Skandi Aker and operated by offshore engineering and construction firm Aker Solutions, is said to be the largest mono-hull well intervention vessel ever built. About 100 local oil and gas industry representatives boarded her for a tour yesterday.

The vessel was designed and built to work in the toughest offshore conditions in the world.

She can carry a crew of up to 140, has cargo space equivalent to half a football pitch and is capable of reaching speeds of up to 18 knots.

Alan Brunnen, managing director of Aker Solutions’ subsea business in Aberdeen, said: “This is a unique chance to see one of the most advanced vessels of its kind and there was a great deal of interest in the Skandi Aker when she berthed in the north-east. It was the first opportunity the industry has had to see this brand new generation of vessel.”

    Hi

Skandi Aker is contracted to Aker Kværner I THINK. 2 x XLX. Pretty sure one moonpool with cursor, one A-Frame ODIM. The vessel I think is owned by DOF Shipping and the ROV’s by DOF Subsea Norway to be crewed by DOF Subsea Norway. (current plan that is!) Starts working in Angola soon. Dont know about the intervention gear on board.

1 XLS through moonpool, 1 XLS over the side with Odim.
All intervention kit is by Expro AX-S
