Hi , does anyone have any experience or info on EZRA / EMAS Singapore and their ROV’s , crews ( crewed out of Singapore or worldwide?) support capabilities , workshops etc or sailed on any of their vessels?

Hello Subman and merry Christmas to you.
Thanks for your reply , I suppose I was really looking for some of the offshore personnels perspective on EMAS rather than the managements.
With the new workshops etc bought by EZRA in Houston I can only see this as good for competition with OII but interested to see how they are as a company and if anyone knew of plans to move vehicles from Far East to GOM , just a thought does Uncle Sam have any rules that wouldn’t allow this? Ho hum , only time will tell……….

Hi brodie well Emas I think has not been going very long in South East Asia
Since this is the case I dont think your find many to ask even Les the ops manager has not there been that long but like I said the best person to ask is Les as for moving system over to GOM I would not .

    Happy Christmas & New Year

They almost lost a sub a few weeks ago. Severed the tether while the sub was in the cage ??? How do you do that? Then the sub jumped out of the cage as they were bringing it on deck. Smashed it to bits.

They (EMAS) havent done much work yet, only XLS38 has been working but not much. The only job ongoing is with a Mohican in Thailand where they are tied to a FPSO reading books and watching videos! Dont fancy that one much

The other work is mainly integration of the new XLX’s into the new vessels in the ship yard. Some work in Vietnam with the new vessel from GOM arriving and pile of refurbishment to be done to the XLS’s that came over.

EZRA who is the the holding company are cash rich buying machine which is focussed on buying more than doing ops right now, thats clear from the lack of experienced construction people or atleast until they merged with Aker. Watch out for them, once things settle and the right guys start steering they should be a decent company to work for although I think they must be building it up to sell off so who knows?

Yes, the supervisor on the Lewek Kea lost the ROV again. They sent out a smaller one, and he lost that too. They had to call Mermaid to rescue their 2 lost subs!

Yeah I can’t wait till they loose / destroy an XLX. I am sure the higher ups at EMAS will be proud. Back to the bars!

    Cheers!
