I attended a saftey meeting on an Allseas job, deck crew requested if they could have safety boots instead of shoes as they were burning their lower legs when welding, responce from Allseas was "they supplied minimum legal requirement and if the crew wanted boots they would have to buy them for themselves."
Not really the atitude of a company that cares for its work force:
Not to mention galley locked outside of meal times, buying bottled water from the bond as none was supplied, no internet and limited e-mail and don’t even ask about the phone.
And finally having onshore management bitch about the gym saying staff should be too tired after shift to use!
One word aviod.
