Out of interest from those that have been in the trade a while, if you could do another job on rigs what would it be? I ask simply because as im training toward a technical offshore job I wondered if there was any other trades that you think would be any better. Im an ex navy aircraft engineer by trade ..
No been out for 9 yrs now and currently own a car bodyshop but want to get back into a technical job thats gunna test me and let me move up the ladder!
What about CSWIP 3.4U inspector as an alternative entry to offshore industry? Good payrate, not so many ex-Navy savvy new-comers waiting for chance to come on board. Why not?:)
