Checked out the RMT/SS7 forum and found a very interesting post.
Look like Oceaneering are struggling to make up the numbers…I wonder why??

    Can’t understand that of Oceaneering.
I mean they Are offering time and a half on any days over 100 in a six month period in west africa

I spoke with Oceaneering about starting with them about a year and a half ago and the day rates were so out of touch with other companies I almost laughed at it.

They then conatacted me to say rates had gone up would I be interested to which I replied send me a revised offer for consideration.

They never got back to me.

Maybe Oceaneering need to improve on the organisation regarding employees/potential employees and obviously bring day rates up in line with other companies.

Same here. Oceaneering have been in touch a few time asking if I’d be interested in working for them. I’ve told them I would be if the rates were right. Then it’s a month or two while they mull over it before getting back intouch enquiring if you are still available. They don’t seem to realise that these days once you make yourself available you can hook up with a job in a matter of days if not hours.

They are not the only ones either.

Oceaneering desperate? No, Divers and Rov pilots (including myself) are desperates. Nobody should work for them until they increase the daily rates they pay all around the world!

    HI
I talked to OI middle East some times ago, I could not believe what they came up with, properly one of the worst day rate on the market, don’t know now, it could be better, don’t think I will be talking to them for a long time. Then again you never know.

Worked with OI Singapore for 5years, had some initial problem with getting a good day rate but got it sorted, eventually left after they promised me a posting in the US but sent a Singaporean instead. I contacted them recently and all applications are online, what a fuck up—- for a company that purports to be on the cutting edge the website never worked. Have they forgotten about telephone ,fax and mail? They maybe short of people but the frustration they cause is their own making.

Oceaneering just contacted me for work in West Africa.
Sent them an updated CV and they emailed me back
I replied asking what the day rate was …… no reply from them πŸ™„

Those documents are only their starting point – the rates they actually get from clients are considerably less
