    With exploration going deeper, current economies and demand for oil, what is the career outlook for ROV personell? Also, the use of AUV’s, i think theres always going to be a need for human input and decision making. Does anyone have an article about. career outlooks? Personal experience with demand?

    From a personal standpoint, I’d say the outlook is rosy.

    Demand has, and appears to be high for ROV personnel. It’s a job that not that many folk can fulfill – properly!

    There doesn’t seem to be any career specific documents, but the clues are in the industry investments. Douglas-Westwood produced an interesting read.

    It’s also a very cyclical (or cynical) industry! Rates are being squeezed down right now.
