How to achieve success in the ROV business?
On the one side, we have example of Hallin Marine, which dive to bottom and close down recently.
On the other side I inspired by Aleron Subsea, which dare to secure million contract on downturn market.
What to do and what not to do? Where is the secret button in the business console?
I plan to start my own company with one AC-ROV.
    Any opinions welcome.

Any business owners here? Welcome to PM, if you don’t want to write it on public forum.

It’s not what, but who you know.

    Networking.

Depends on your bartering skills and amount you wish to ‘grease the cogs’.

Can’t tell you any more, because I’m not in the circle of trust! Oh, but if you’re an ex-used car salesman, you’ll be fine applying that business model 😉

Roveal Underwater Robotics steered clear of the Oil & Gas Industry altogether.
Starting out as a group of Veterans, Roveal kept things simple. We purchased our very first ROV from Deep Trekker, the DTG2. It’s a small format "mini" ROV. It’s perfect for numerous inland and coastal applications. We’ve been working with a multitude of organizations and people ranging from Wildlife Conservationists to Law Enforcement. There’s a huge market for ROVs and it’s not all deep ocean.
Through our amazing partnership with Deep Trekker, we not only perform ROV services throughout Florida, but we are also authorized retailers and instructors on their equipment.
If you’d like to know more about how we got started, just PM me. In the meantime, please visit http://www.rovealit.com to learn more. See my signature to find us on LinkedIn, Facebook, & Youtube.

    Cheers!
