So, as we come into the half way stage of the year. I ask, has it been as bad as expected? I for one, havn’t seen much of a difference. It certainly wont be breaking any records for days done, but the work has been steady and home time has been minimum. It is looking like its picking up as well, so im expecting a busy summer. I’m sure its been tough for any one looking to get into the industry or maybe those who were recently taken on but are the guys who have been about a bit being kept busy or have i just been lucky. Im certainly not not one of the ‘superstars’, jut someone who goes to work, does the best he can and goes home. I suppose if the summer is very slow then then i may be singing a different tune at the end of the year.
if you are still a company employee its been near to normal except for all thr people laid off so those still on the books are taking up the slack ,,
but most free lancers seem to be short of work , and the agencies are suffering too some have laid off staff , I reckon i will do 50% less work this year ,,, and rates on offer are lower too…
