Sounds like you have the necessary qualifications, you are breathing and willing to work offshore…… 😀

Having been in the industry for 18 odd years, someone with some practical experiance is worth a 1000 ROV certificates. If you are willing to listern and learn you don’t need a piece of paper.

Don’t expect to earn what you are probably earning at the moment, it could take a year or two to get up to the decent pay, depends on who you are working for.

Send you CV off to all the agents, last time I checked my email there were plenty of jobs out there!!!!!!

So to answer your question, DON’T waste time and money on a ROV course, spend a fraction of it on emailing and phoning around the agents and offshore companies.

As for flying, that is something you will learn offshore, a course can’t teach you that…. The P/T I am working with at the moment did a course and came out with a certificate that said he had done so many hours of this type of flying and that type of flying etc….. In reality no one on the course did any flying as the good machines were out working and the ones in base were all broken. (think Fort Bill) 😯

    Best of luck
