Got an interview for DOF next week, and possibly getting one with SS7 (iTech division) as well, just wondered if anyone knows what they’re like to work for?
I’m currently with Oceaneering as a Junior Tech but just not getting the offshore time.
Whilst being in the Aberdeen area helps, I also have a pretty decent CV as well, that’s why I get interviews. Im looking elsewhere because I took a pretty big pay cut to join Oceaneering anyway, and the fact is by the time I go offshore next I will have had 6 days offshore in 11 weeks, its no good to me proffesionaly or financially
Heard that story about Oceaneering many times i suppose they kept you in the work shop and if they needed to up man as your in aberdeen they would but they never did. Many have left OI for the same reasons.
Dof would be the way forward lots of New ROV’s and Nice Vessels.
I started out in the workshop rather than going to the Batam school, went on the offshore contract at the start of May. Like I say, I’m not really wanting to leave a company after only 1 year, but how it is now is no good. Good to hear DOF are decent, thanks for the advice.
