Bit of a stupid question this but how easy is it to keep in touch with family and that now a days from the Survey ships?
Just asking as I have been offered a job with GMSL on one of there ships, and all my experience is really on drillings rigs and that so just wanting to make sure it will be no problem.
These days generally, on most decent sized boats, you will have email and internet access. A lot of boats use ku band comms (24/7 connection to the beach) so calling home is easy.
If you knew the vessels name maybe someone on here would be able to give you a definitive answer.
