I have a decision to make I am in the process of looking for an offshore GOM job. I am trained and licensed a master electrician but have no plant or offshore experience and I have no ROV experience . I have the opportunity to go offshore and work as an electrician or as a ROV trainee. My question is what path do you think has the most future potential. I would make more money to start as an electrician but does an ROV position have a better future.

Probably more chance of steady work over the course of your career doing Electrician work, But I myself am an Electrician now in the ROV industry and its a lot more interesting work…..Think hard its a big pay cut to start as a jnr tech again.
