I am an experienced ROV professional with 07 years of offshore experience looking for further employment in the industry post resignation from Oceaneering International in Feb 2014. The catch to me seems lesser flying hrs. which is a common phenomenon with the people working in India with Oceaneering. But, whatever I have is qualitative. Despite very serious efforts since resignation, I am not able to cut ice as yet. All my certs are valid & in place. All suggestions to way forward is solicited. Thanks!
There is nothing you can do other than keep calling, emailing, sending your CV out to parts of the world that are busy right now.
It’s occurred to me that you may find lack of interest party down to your nationality (any nationality in fact) whereby companies are more reluctant these days to arrange for work permits outside your own country of Nationality. More countries seem to require work permits for working offshore these days.
