To give you some idea of the amount of agency’s out there dealing with rov personnel I thought I would make a list up .

Some of the people on the list may have moved on should that be the case just do a search on Google or Yahoo for the mail contact details .

Yes I have missed out a few of the well known agency’s but just shop around for the best deal , For starters you may be able to work for the client direct and no need for a agency .However there are a Rov company’s out there that have a very bad history on late payments or no payments should this be the case then use a agency .

Yes there is the odd duplication , But feel free to add others that I have missed .

Interesting how this thread has had 237 reads so far with little comment or input from others. No doubt being copied and made good use of by many an ROV wannabe without so much of a thanks by way of return 😉 Maybe I’m just a bit too cynical these days 🙂

But as you know agencies are not much help to all us wannabes, as they only look after experienced pilots. That is why I’m more interested in ROV companies that take on ROV Trainee (Wannabes), and trying to get a chance like so many others.

Guys, us wannabes do Thank you for any help you can give us and I’m sure many have saved your list that you have supplied for possible future use (or not). And we do understand that there are hundreds if not thousands applying for the same job each time.

That’s where a list of ROV companies would help us wannabes more, and yes I have Googled the hell out of ROV / ROV Companies / ROV Trainee and so on. I have a good list that I use, yes some on my list may not take on Trainees and there may be plenty more companies I haven’t found yet. But you guys are in the know with these companies, yes we do look them up and do our reading on each company, but we do ask for some experience help for you guys from time to time.

And no I’m not trying to piss you guys off, as I want in on the ROV Industry.

But back to your point

Thank You Raptor for this list, I beleive it will help those that gain employment as trainees once they gain some experience. I can also see your point with all these different agency’s flooding the ROV Personnel market place. The big question is who are the good ones and shit ones. Something I hope to learn soon.

Agency’s are a useful tool to make sure you get paid when working for company’s that have a bad history of late payments or non payments however if the rov company is a known company there is no reason why you cannot work direct .

I know there maybe a issue with insurance cover with some company’s but other wise there is no reason why you cannot work direct . A few years ago agency’s just took 15% of your rate but now days this is a lot larger .

Without naming any names if you saw the mark up of what Rov company’s are paying and what the agency’s are paying you , I think it would make you feel sick .

Not all agency’s are the same there are a few that do take care of you unlike most that just think of you as a cow and they will milk the hell out you .

As for rov trainees wanted to get into the Rov industry the last thing you want to do is a rov course , Just like the agency’s the rov schools will take your money and run .You will go on your Rov course get your cert and send it off to all the main line company’s and join the other few thousands of trainees .

So getting off the topic here but there is no secret rov company that I or any of the other Senior members of this forum can give you .

Except of course these days half the big players have automated CV collection systems and you apply for a direct day rate role, send your CV in and never hear from them ever again. However send your CV to the same place via a preferred agency and you get a job offer within a few hours.

But your not alone there are more and more agency’s trying to make a fast buck , But we are not talking about a buck or two its more like a few hundred, I know this because I speak to many of your clients and know what there paying .
