Do any guys have a trade/ part time or casual role that they drop into when they are home?

    I’m working a 4/4 rotation.

Curious what solutions or ideas you lot have.

    Thanks 🙂

If you do around 180 day/pa you should not have the need to earn extra to get by.

It’s never been an issue for me.

There seems to be more and more people looking for 1 or 2 week roles when they are home and we have several clients looking at shorter term roles.

Send me your cv or contact me on cameron.taylor@agrl.co.uk and I will contact you to discuss.

    Cameron,

yes, but you are offering more work while off work. If people wanted more work then they would do – longer trips 😀

I think this is more about what people do with their time off – and that should not include going back offshore!

    I agree.

For those that wish to do something extra, it should not necessarily be extra days away from home. Maybe setting up their own local business by way of planning for the future is an option. How about buying a rental apartment and doing it up? Build up a property portfolio by way of a retirement fund.

Extra days away offshore is like a busman’s holiday… I say a change is a good as a rest.

How about ………………… Start up an Agency for poor deprived ROV Pilots or An ROV School 🙂
    Hope this helps 😀

No bloody wonder new guys are finding it hard to get a start. If you have done your time offshore go home, see your family, go on holiday or whatever.
Any more than 180 days is greed pure and simple and agencies touting short fill in work are depriving new starts of a chance
