looking for low viscosity oils and suppliers in aberdeen.

at the moment using tellus 22. (22mm^2/s – dynamic viscosity).

We found mobilect 35 which has half the viscosity at around 10.8,morlena at around 5.5 cst

    Hi there,
depenant on depth and utilisation of manips etc theTellus range of usually suffices, these are normally sourced in any fishing port world-wide. Tellus 25 is ok to about 1000 ft but then change to "32" , there are a number of specialised oil’s on the market but beware of ill effect’s on seals etc. Some oils have no effect but otheres can render thruster and manip "o" rings useless. Many companies have developed seals that are resistant to any mineral additives but you will have to do a full inventory of stock and seals in use.

ah, cheers polo -it’s not going underwater, but seal compatibility may be an issue and I’ll double check it. Was using tellus 22 at the moment as I know it’s fine with nitriles and viton.

Hi all ,after raking my bumb "drunken" brain I recolllected that PARKER "O" rings ‘"in Bangkok can send you an explanatory leaflet. They were most helpful to me when I ran an underwater photo business in Phuket, supplying oils and silicon gel at proper spec. They can supply you with an "O" ring measuring kit and advise you on safe usability.
This allows you to integrate oil type/depth/temperature into your needs.
I hope this is a little bit of help.
    Cheeers Polo.

Of course it would be nice for all the companies to splash the cash out for ANTICORIT 632 B5 made by Fuchs
