Subject: URGENT Maris – Personnel required
    Date: Wed, 22 Oct 2008
    From: Julianna.Gorska@marissubsea.com

    Hi

We currently have a requirement for ROV personnel – ROV Pilots and ROV Supervisors for an annual ROV Inspection (structure & pipeleine) with Maersk in Doha – for the 6th Nov till Mid Jan 2009. The work will run through Christmas and New Year.

£370 for supervisor £340 for Pilots

Not the best of rates for supervisors, its a flat rate as well, no bonus over Xmas or new year……

    peanuts monkeys anyone??

yeah, rates are definately low -what is the vehicle and what is the vessel?

Doesn’t matter; if it’s urgent they’ll come up to reality.

they did not say, but i am sure it a seaeye of some description
and no mention of the vessel

as you say they will have to wake up or they wont get anybody, simple as!

Saying that, now that this post is up they are about to get 4000 c/vs from the fort bill brigade 🙂

Well 370 GBP is bad but you want to work for Sitech in Venezuela there only paying
$300 USD for P/T and 600 USD for Supervisors .

Actually at today’s exchange rate ( thanks Gordon 🙄 ) 600 USD is worth more than 375 stirling.. 😕
