with the value of oil dropping substantially (around 50dl/bbl) in the last couple of weeks…. anyone have a clue what sort of level north sea production is sustainable at….50, 60, 70, 80 bucks/bbl?

anyone remember 1985-ish when the price of oil < price to produce in the north sea??

I dunno but as usual the % drop per barrel NEVER makes the same amount drop at the pumps! "Oh this was bout at the old price" is the usual excuse.

So how come it goes up straight away when the price is rising?

Most Northsea wells can make money on anything over $30 a barrel even some recent ones.
