    Hi everyone,

I just found out this forum, hope I can get help here.

I’m looking for a solution (e.g. water jetting system) for retrieval of suction foundation / pile foundation in seabed (water depth > 500 meters).
The idea is to loosen up the soils around the foundation so it can be easily pulled out.

Can anyone give suggestion what kind of water jet system that I can use, and where I can find the equipment (the supplier)?

Any inputs will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you. 🙂

    Dear Chan372,

Are these suctions piles? if so what penetration do you have and what diameter are they?

Do you have any idea of total weight?

    Hi DanFrov,

Yes, I’m dealing with suction piles, and also normal piles.

The weight for the suction pile is approximately 12,5 tons (dry weight), with outer diameter of 3,5m; length 5 m; and wall thickness 0,025m.

The normal pile is actually a torpedo anchor, which is buried under the seabed (30m under the seabed). The piles will be app. 80 tons (dry weight) with pile diameter of 1,2m and length of 13m.

Any ideas that I can use water jet system to loosen up the soils around the piles so it can be easily pulled out?
