ROV Industry outlook 2012 and next few years

Hi Folks,

I would like to invite peoples opinions on how the ROV industry will be this year and the coming next few years.

Do you think there is going to be labour shortages?

Judging by the number of ROV companies currently recruiting and the number of emails every week from the agencies looking for blokes, I am inclined to think we could be in for a busy year… What I am especially interested in is how long do people think it will continue?

thats what i’m hoping for as i am considering leaving a salaried position to go day rate.

If the last 4-5 years are an indicator, then I see no reason why 2012 should not be as busy.
The grapevine would suggest that some major projects that were held back last year, will be coming to fruition this year…possibly, maybe!

Ita always bissy, if you are any good, Ive been offshore 27 years and never been without work, day rate / salary its all the same if you are good at what you do you WILL get work.
