    monkey, THERE ARE FOUR?

I just wanted thrusters, camera eyeball and the command/control !

    From M.A.R.E. last month:

(ERS-084) 4 x Sprint 101 Systems Complete with camera and spares £5,500 ea.

Doesn’t say how many you’ll need to get one working one though 😯

    I’m puzzled 😕
The Sprint came standard with Colour and SIT in the Camera pod
The only thing not standard was the Stills camera and bulk loader.
If the Sprint does not have the two Cameras , don’t buy it Full stop !

    Another thought 🙂
The cables used for connections were four pin marsh marine ( or three pin for the lights ) Check that the earth pin is not disolved or the female socket aint corroded, Oh and the tilt belt is ok and the sprocket shear pin aint broke……….. And that the compass pod is actually inside the floatation………… and that the floatation is not squashed in the topside part of the vehicle …………

    Hello,
The Sprint vehicle was good for 660m of salt water. First time you get to that depth you will loose som boyancy as the boyancy Blocks will be compressed permanently. You need to remove lead for dive no.2.

But you can not use a standard neutral tether for more than 350 metars as attenuation on the coax is too large. The RF driver is not strong enough. you need an RG58 or similar to get further Down (50 ohms).

You also have an audio channel from the RF card to the RF card in the console. Just ad a mike on the vehicle and plug the audio in on the monitor to the surface RF card.

The thrusters was designed by the owner of Tecnadyne, Andrew Bazely. He should be able to help today.

The camera was made by Osprey (now Kongsberg Maritime) in Aberdeen/Wick. It was a B/W SIT camera and a tube color camera (OE1362) locking through a Pentax Mirror reflex camera With stills capability. The video cameras was focused to the white plate on the camera. when you switched between the two video cameras they both were in focus as well as the stills camera. very easy to get great shots. The camera can be replaced With New ones as long as you Select the correct lens and focun to the Mirror plate on the Pentax, and you may still get PC Boards from Kongsberg in Aberdeen.

    Good Luck!
