👿 /so much work , why is there companies in asia who have most of their vehicles on the beach? The big guys have everything out but several smaller mobs are letting guys go because they have nothing for them.
    Reputation, bad marketing, poor reputation??????

Interesting to know who is out there working in asia and what they are doing?

Yes who are they , there is a waiting list for ROVs either to hire or have built , any decent company will have people beating a path to their doors to hire ROVs , unless they are on a blacklist or stupid.

😈 DOF Subsea has 2 Tritons sitting in Singapore with no work for last 2 months and a Mohican which has not worked since arriving in Feb!
If they got work for them now they would have trouble manning them as everyone who has been there for a while and knows the systems has bailed out looking for work, pitty as they are pretty good systems, got their problems but nothing that can not be sorted out with a few $ and they used to be a good mob to work for too.
Must be lack of marketing with the huge demand around at the moment, I’m sure they would be happy to offload them if someone made an offer or even found work for them.

    TypicalROVWhiner,

I understand after the first month where everything went wrong in Vietnam the rest of the job went fine, both vehicles worked with no major cockups in fact because of client screwups and weather downtime they made heaps, the job went about 80days over schedule.
I’ve seen both systems and they are not that bad, pretty well setup just need regualr crew on them to know their way around and look after them.

The other problem is not lack of work but lack of ships suitable to mount work class ROVs on , many ships are also fully booked so they may be waiting for a ship.
