    Hi,
Company I am with are considering splashing some cash on a API 13628-8 Torque Tool, Class 1- 4.
Anyone have any experience regards the impROVISER TT ?
Specifically regards to its reliability of use on the different size sockets ?
Does it "do what it says on the tin", or is it a bit "picky" about being used on the different sized sockets during a dive ?
Any feedback on longterm reliability issues would be good as well.
    Cheers

Used one about 6 months ago. They work fine. Follow the directions for flushing sea water out of the planetary gears and no problem. The weakest point is the T- handle which we bent several times, but were always able to straighten it out. It never snapped ๐Ÿ˜€

ImpROV TTโ€™s are pretty good in use. Very accurate in control with their laptop, getting a bit bulky as you have to use it with a separate jb. Never had a problem with the end effecter which makes use more easier as you donโ€™t have to change a bit. There is a small chance though that the end effecter slips over (indicator!). And be sure to bleed all the air out as the clutch housing is very prone to pressure damage. They can use some improvement on this clutch as it can be difficult to get in low/high gear.

Having used a selection of TT (PSSI, Oceanworks and Improv) from a well know rental outfit the Improv was by far the easiest to install, set-up and use. All controlled from a laptop. No messing around changing end effectors, no recoveries to adjust breakouts and reliefs etc No worries about losing viz or dodgy counters, just nice and easy. Used with x-bar and FLOT and never had a single problem…unlike the other two which were a pain……
