Well they apparently invented golf………… so I guess as my world has been shattered already, they might as well re-write the history books too whilst they are at it.

Watched an interesting thing on the National Geographic the other day regarding Dna .
Apparentely we orriginated from Africa migrated north to middle east , One tribe went to Russia and the other carried on down through India Far east to Abo land down under !
The Russian contingent carried on up through the Tundra to America and split going west to Europe !
So we all have negro blood in us !
    What a surprise

Yeh I read the book as well and enjoyed it, it does seem plausible and explains all the old mapping that was charted before these areas were supposedly discovered.

It is well worth a read.

Read the book some years ago, fascinating stuff and to my mind it all seems true, in terms of artefacts discovered all over the place. I have a buddy who is one of South Africa’s foremost authorities on rock art of the San Bushmen in the Southern African region. He reckons that one of the most common recurrent motifs in san art is white robed black haired yellow skinned folks – for some reason he thinks more likely to be Chinese than Arab slavers.

It also explains to a degree the classic features ( black straight hair etc) of the American aboriginal people.

Very, very clever navigators and shipwrights they were, the Chinese. Way ahead of the rest of the world at the time.

If you haven’t read the book yet, I strongly urge you to get yourself a copy. What I find most interesting is the reluctance of many people to accept this theory, when it really does seem to be for real and scientifically corroborated.

    An excellent book.

Not Chinese, but two Pheonician Galleys were dug up in the suburb of Pinelands, Cape Town, South Africa in 1992. It is believed that these were part of a group that circumnavigated Africa about 600BC.

By 600BC the Chinese had been using magnetic compasses for about 1500 years already.

    Dan,

Of course there’s aload of them in SEA waters… interesting and amazing the distances they traveled back then. Columbus and the Vikings?? Move over! There was a series on Discovery that showed a portion of their seafaring achievements. I’d grab the link but this internet we have onboard is waaay tooo slooow…

Ancient seafarers discovered all the world as it was then (the geology of the earth has changes in the past 4-5 thousand years) – but their testimonies no longer exist… for various reasons…

Phonecian traders used to buy tin from Cornwall at least 500bc and possibly as early as 1150bc according to ancient texts
