💡 Don’t normally write on these boards but there’s this website called http://www.stayinthegoodbooks.com that lets you send real cards in the post via the internet, fantastic if you’re offshore and can’t get to a post box, or like me, overseas. You can also up load your own photo to the card. The best bit though is I think one of the owners works offshore and when you register, if you shoot them an email telling them you work offshore, they send you back a discount code. Just thought it might be useful coming up to valentines and mothersday? 😀

Thanks Steve. That’s better than sending e-cards that can seem so impersonal if not at times, tacky.

Hey, my wife works at Orange and anyone who types ‘Orange’ into the discount code section on this service gets a discount. There’s no checks or anything!

Thanks for the info and the code! I am off the coast of Angola now and although the ships internet is not the best I have just send a valentine card to my misses. What is the code for offshore guys or do I have to e-mail you?

Eltel, the code I was given was ‘offshore’ I see no reason why anyone on here couldn’t use it. This discount is inaddition to any other offers they’re doing. Here’s a link to the concept. Other than the fonts that look like hand writing, if you have the time you can also upload scanned signatures…

Offshore and orange worked a treat. I really like the cards from Mark Huggins in the artists section, there is one of an iceberg that looks great t- though I have no idea what occasion it fits. I made my own card with a picture of the ship i’m on and sent to the kids

I’m glad it worked for you eltel. I’ve just sorted my family birthday cards for the year and I got Stayinthegoodbooks to upload my outlook contacts for me (emailed them my outlook file), so I didn’t need to type in the addresses.
