    Hi guys,

I am not affiliated with Allseas at all, but I was approached for a job with them. I am one of the lucky ones who found a contract (not with them) so I thought I would spread the news. I hope this helps someone.

    http://www.allseas.com/uk/87/careers/vacancies.html

I know they are using shilling UHDs so if the shoe fits, it would be a plus. The office is in Delft, Netherlands.

Just a small advice if I may, showing up in person has always been a winner for me.

Do not ask me any more info, I do not know more. I just thought I’dd pass it on since times are difficult. PS Netherland companies usually pay good rates.

    Good luck.

Those ads for ROV personnel are on their website since 2007.
Had an interview with Allseas last year.
They pay appr. 80000 euro a year, bad social insurances, etc.
Work schedule is 1:1 based on 5 weeks.

They prefer filipino pilots, the supervisor can train them and will lose his job later on.

Allseas has a few Schilling UHD ROVs for mainly touchdown monitoring.

I don’t know about the the rest of you but I find Ron’s racist comment about Filipinos and monkeys quite offensive and unnecessary.
Could you please edit this Ron?

    Well,

I did not just cut and paste a link, I was approached for a job…

I agree that their is no point in being racist. Philipinos are hard working people.

Being replaced by cheap labour is just a mather of time. The only solution is a union, but I find that people nowdays fake sticking together, then do their own thing in secret…

Our only hope in salation will be gone within 10 years in my mind…

Gents, I don’t like to be called a racist.
I’ve been training and working Filipino ROV pilots since 1999 and now lost my job because of this cheap labor after 12 years.
Tomorrow I start on an office job and will quite the ROV industry.

    Bye.

In general Piipino are renown to be lower income offshore earner. Basically they can do long trips and behave themselve.

But there nothing to do with thier race, I urge you to look further in the future.

I have met many ROV personnel, is not a Toy or mooring rope, your expertise will be rekcon 1 day if not now. Cheer up buddy I m from the far east I get paid working and fair rate. Don’t do refugee work! 🙂
