Orion70, the UJ &UQJ are the two main types of Joint used in the Submarine fibre optic cable business, you need to be qualified in them to get a job a Jointer, the easiest way to get qualified is to get a job as a junior systems tech with Globalmarine systems, who will train you up as an all singing all dancing jointer/rov pilot tech! but they wont pay you for having to jump between the jointing space and the ROV! (well they do but its not enough)
