    Hey people,

Been fequenting this site for over a year now. Initially with the intention of becoming a P/T, but soon realised that positions are rare and in high demand. I’m nowhere near as highly qualified as some of the dudes who whore themselves (and their crudentials) out on here, but i have my dreams…

Gotta say, love this site! So funny and full of brilliant info…hense the reason i’ve never felt the need to post! However….i would like your tuppenceworth…

I’m lookin to get an entry level rigger/deckhand job on a subsea vessel (never been offshore before). I look for these types of positions tirelessly, but never seem to come accross anything. Is it that these positions are all ‘golden handshake, nudge-nudge-wink-wink’ jobs…or are there just not that many jobs out there? I check all the major players regularly. Please enlighten me as to where companies source their labour!

Basically, what i’m asking is, does anyone fancy pointing me in the direction of a vacancy or who/what company may be hiring soon…i’ve got all my offshore certs…figure that route is my only way of getting a sniff of a ROV manual.

    Cheers

    Greig – Edinburgh

PS, Any company contacts would be even better…feel free to PM me anything paricularly helpful!
