How many years working with rovs before u are regarded as "sr rov pilot" ??

2.5 – 3yrs depending on how many days at sea you do.
too top grade of pilot.

Plus, not forgetting of course, that you must be capable of working in such a position.

Time alone does not guarantee anybody to be senior anything other than more senior in years.
