Hello all in the ROV World.
I am looking to change career and have read the post re. to do a course or not to do a course, and it would seem that a formal vocational qualification MAYBE of more use.
Currently I am a TV & Film Sound Recordist & Mixer (I’m the guy that employs the bloke that hold the fluffy thing on a stick, in laymans terms)
I have a basic knowledge of delicate electronic equipment, fault finding and repair as I own and operate my own equipment, which needs constant care especially on location.
I am looking at the BTEC Lvl3 Advanced Diploma in Electrical Installation.
Any advice from those that employ trainee techs would be especially useful but I will listen to anyones tuppence worth!!! 😀
