My dimes worth regarding newbies asking silly questions and then getting the piss taken out of them, which they then seem to find offensive.
Stotty, me lad. Your replies leaves me in a spot of doubt as to your psychological maturity for ROV work. Piss taking takes on a whole new dimension offshore, I can assure you. 12 hr offshore shifts is not like the 12hrs shifts you’re used to. Gets even worse when the phones and Internet are down. Oh, and in future, please use proper spelling so us older boys can understand your scribblings…..
Toon, you’re next. Your rantings and ravings makes you a prime target! You’re from Cape Town I see. Nice place. And yes, the industry does belong to the Brits. If someone does decide to take you on, my bets are that it will be a UK-based Company. They like us SA boys because we’re willing to bend over backwards for peanuts. Get used to the idea if you’re wanting to get in.
