Video Grab software.

Does anyone have any good video grab software reccommends. We will be using it with a Kongsberg stills camera and have been informed to see the realtime picture on the GUI we would need to install some video grab software.

I’m not sure this will work with the hardware you describe, but I’ve tried these 4 apps with our micro ROV and they all worked for us:

AMCAP ( http://noeld.com/programs.asp?cat=video )
VirtualDub ( http://www.virtualdub.org/ )
Debut Video Capture ( http://www.nchsoftware.com/capture/ )
CaptureFlux ( http://paul.glagla.free.fr/captureflux_en.htm )

To use any of the above you’ll need an appropriate video capture device and a relatively fast PC. Keep in mind the video displayed will have a delay (lag) of roughly a second or so, although this might vary depending on your capture device and computer.
