Maris Subsea posted this in there last add

multiple CVs from multiple agencies means you’re more likely to be ignored rather than hired

While i agree with the statement above, why is it you get this below!!!!

When you ask who is the operator or client they turn round and say oh i can not tell you now?

    .
Now i dont wish to say its Maris who does this but i am sure i have some mails from them just like that as with most of the other agents as well.

Some are good they will tell you.

    Guys
"I have acutely turned down 3 jobs in Europe the last 3 weeks, 1 was very short 1 was Norway and 1 was at a very low day rate."
    "I don’t like the N Sea anyway"

times must be getting hard then πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

    Hi Deepseacon,

Yeah multiple applications through agencies is never a good idea, not just in this market either, it tends to look a bit desperate.

It’s not even all that unavaoidable, as most agencies withhold the client names to prevent people approaching them directly, the market’s quite small and everyone’s got a mate at Rovtech or whoever.

Some agecies even have agreements with candidates to send their CV to any job without discussing it, not my way personally, cos it all too often shoots you in the foot.

    Guys
But you can stay with one body shop and never get a job and then you can go to another body shop and get a job, what about that? and the same job that you could not get before you made the move, everybody know that all body shops have a core of people they use first (nothing wrong with that) and that means for a new guy he could be waiting a long time if only signed with one shop, yes? No?
I for one have been trying that a few times, i understand that all shops want to be the only one you have your CV with, i get mail from a few agency every week and it’s the same job coming up from all of them. Just my 2C
