It’s the place where Fugro need ROV people. For the English no work permit is required. Pack your snow boots!!
October 20, 2010 at 8:28 am #29460liddelljohnParticipantStrange that Fugro Rovtech need trainees after Dumping most of their experienced staff 18 months ago and rehiring them via agencies ….cheap labour issue again ??????

Strange that I do not remember ANY redundancies at Fugro Rovtech 18 months ago. Maybe you can remind me?
October 20, 2010 at 10:10 am #29462Ray ShieldsParticipantAn update on this thread, H.R. have confirmed it is EXPERIENCED Pilot Techs that they are looking for, NOT Trainees.
So an opportunity for those Agency people who were complaining about sitting at home all Summer to get a salary if they wish!
October 20, 2010 at 10:54 am #29463AnonymousGuestOn those rates I’d rather stay at home – McDonalds pay better 😆
October 20, 2010 at 12:11 pm #29464seniorParticipantI must be one of the "good agency guys" I have had a nice ££ busy agency summer, although I did like my time at Rovtech! on salary….now I am just a hound for the pound. 😉 😉
October 20, 2010 at 1:23 pm #29465liddelljohnParticipantRay I have done 8 jobs for Fugro Rovtech this year and each job was one Permanent Supervisory bloke and the rest of us were all contractors ,the permanent chaps were all longterm fugro Rovtech emplyees and very good men and they all said that Fugro had dumped all other staff to hire contractors as and when required and that was exactly what i saw and experienced , also many of the agency blokes were ex Fugro who only 1 or 2 years ago had been permanent on the very same ROVs we were engaged to work on .
The agencies i worked for said exactly the same story too.Mind you this was all rig based work not vessel based , so maybe on Fugro ships its different .
