Apparently the only small ROV they’d tried capable of fighting against the currents and not turning into a clump weight 😆

    $160k? Are they that expensive?

    Hi Ray,

Not sure if all the $160K grant was spent on the ROV, spares etc. I’d be surprised if it was.

If you require a quote Ray, please contact ian.garioch@f-e-t.com

You can also try (via renting) before you buy, or just rent for that matter, depending on your requirements.

From the sounds of it St Clair had already tried out the cheaper less capable options though and found them to be a bit lacking, regarding the task(s) they wished to carry out, horses for courses I guess.

IMHO one of the biggest challenges when buying/selling an ROV is determining what tasks the ROV will carry out from the outset and striking the balance between cost, size, power, interfaces etc.

So ends the sales pitch 😳 it is a lot of ROV for the money though, I just can’t help myself 😳 😳
