Our company are looking in to maybe buy an WROV for inspection of pipelines and to do easy work as turn off and on valves on templates.
But We have no idea how big it must be to do this kind of work.
And how strong the manipulator must be?
We are thinking that everything fit in an 10foot container is that possible?
As for now we are looking into some of the Norwegian supliers as Sperre and Argus for easier service.
Hi Isak
First a full size WROV with all the ancillary equipment it cannot stay in a single container, but for your purpose (Light construction and survey)I will suggest :as arm a ORION the baby arm from Shilling as ROV there are few middle size electrical ROV in the markets (Mohawk ,Comanche and many other just to mention Sub Atlantic )

You indicate you will be turning valves on templates. In general this requires ROV operated torque tools that have a adjustable hydraulic supply so the correct torques can be applied to the valves and the correct number of turns counted.
On the face of it your question seem a bit open ended. Typically you would need at least a hydraulic power supplied at approx. 200 Bar and flow rates of possibly up to 20 litres so you can operate a wider range of subsea tools.
To be able to judge this maybe you should have a look at Forum technologies web pages that give you specifications of many different ROV tools.
