Any of you freelance fellas expat in Spain.
I’m about to leave OI to do work through agencies and I currently live in Spain. What I’m wondering is (if there are any of you on here) would you setup as autonomo (self employed) in Spain, therefore having to pay €250 euros social security every month no matter if you worked or not.
Or is it better to stay on the agencies books as PAYE and then fill in a tax return in Spain also ?
    Any info much appreciated

That would be preferable, just wondering if I had to setup as self employed in Spain or not. I imagine a few of the UK guys go Ltd Co, don’t know much about that side of things.

LTD co could benefit you if you can retain your UK residency for tax purposes. That itself would depend on individual circumstances such as how long you work in Spain, for whom and what ties you have back in the UK.

If you would like a chat about it PM me or give me a call.
