So the clients have woken up to the smell of coffee then. I’ll bet the smell will be stronger yet, closer to mobilisation time! Isn’t it perverse how these ‘clients’ would think nothing of calling out a plumber at GBP60+ per hour to fix a dripping tap in their office kitchenette, yet baulk at paying GBP11.88 per hour for an offshore engineer?!
At £320 its more like Instant Coffee tho, keep brewing it up till it gets to £350 😀 😀
And £11.88 is only if you get paid 24 hours a day, you know the pay is only 12 hours, never mind this "but Im stuck out there so its for 24". £23 odd an hour is still low tho.
The rate is not that bad for a tech who is starting out though. The work does also appear regular shame it is UK waters so will probably not qualify for tax back.
