    Hi all

I only want to know where I currently stand, how easy or difficult it would be for someone like me to get a job in the ROV world. My situation is this, I have 120 logged rov flying hours thus far, I picked those hours up from only 3 work trips, currently I work as a survey technician and hydrographic surveyor but also drive a workshop when I go back to our offices on land ( I am currently permantly employed). I have worked on a work class rov and also inspection class doing survey type work and even wreck inspections ( most exciting of all).

But this company I work for can sometimes also send me on pure mindless jobs where I bore myself to near death, I want to pursue pure rov work, I want to be employed as only a rov pilot. Thing is, I live in South Africa, I don’t know if this is a major discouragement when people look at my CV.
Have done hydraulic ,electric, soldering, navigation system and my Rov grade 2 courses. Currently I have valid working visas for Schengen countries & for united kingdom. (plus ofcourse offshore medical & offshore survival)

I truly do not know what to do right now, if I would be between being employed and total unemployment, how difficult would it be for me to get into a rov job? (Even as a trainee, do not care where I start).

Opinions and advice would be much appreciated.
