Anybody know of any agencies hiring workclass P/Ts at the moment. I need to get away out of the UK before April but my own Co. can’t sort it for me

Then why would I be asking? I don’t work through agencies, or know peoplle who do. I was more looking for contacts than useful suggestons such as that one!

It is extremely rare to find an ROV person who has never worked with anyone from an Agency nor to know the major Agencies such as Proffs, UKPS etc.

Look on the left hand side, click on Links, click on ROV Agencies – they are all listed there.

Thanks for that, I now have the list. I have been trying ukps but they are quiet just now and Ineed to get away sharpish…..! I’ve only worked with a couple of ukps guys and never got any info off of them. Anybody know what’s up with workocean’s website/email?

No sure every one is hiring Ray!!!!!

I’ve been sitting in the house for about 3 weeks, had plenty of phone calls with plenty promises but nothing confirmed. Could be the agencies are trying to build up there databases before the summer….or it could be they are sending out inexperienced personnel on cheap rates. 😀

I was hearing about a bit of an incident of the Subsea Viking out at the Everest field, not ROV related but it involved inexperienced people. Not to sure what the outcome was but I dont think B.P. were to happy.

Maybe with the amount of people coming into the market now, the Agencies are able to pick and choose who will make the most profit for them?

You would think that the experienced guys would always be able to get work the way the industry is now.

Yeh Ray you would think the companys would state who they want but I think the economics of the situation say that ‘As long as you get a body out to fill a bed and make the maximum proffit hat will do us’!

Mind you saying that the trainee we had last trip did not lack confidence, done 3 trips offshore one was ‘A three weeker’ he said as he was trying to take over the job! 😀

I kindly pointed out to him that the guys he was on shift with had done more time in a saturation chamber in one trip than his three weeker!!! 😀

Still you got to laugh!

Off now to watch Scotland hammer Italy!!!!!!!!! 😀 😀 😀 😀
