Fugro Survey Limited is part of the Survey Division of the world-wide Fugro Group, specialising in earth sciences. Fugro Survey Limited specialises in high resolution geophysical surveys from dedicated survey vessels.
Position
To produce graphical representations (i.e. Charts) generated from ROV sensors such as profile systems, pipe-trackers etc.
Process raw data from which charting will be generated quality control the processed information prior to charting position requirements
Due to the nature of this position, working both onshore and offshore is essential. Candidates must undertake and successfully complete both Offshore Safety and Firefighting course and Offshore Medical examination.
Communicate with both onshore and offshore staff assist in preparation of data for charting purposes, assist in charting, report preparation
adhere to the company procedures.
Basically sit at a computer and process the data collected by the ROV and survey sensors. Skills are mainly in computing, use of AutoCAD, but a survey background wpuld be beneficial to know what the hell you are supposed to be looking at!
