Not being a regular poster of this site, yes i have chosen to move away from the agency and look at the perm work with a company. Yes I know from pervious posting from others you will all say about time? $ can be better but the uncertain cash flow can be an issue. I live in the luck country Australia but where to start? Yes i have had work offered in the africa and mid east but have declined.

7 years elec
4 years hyd
4 yrs ROV construction and 1 yr drill support.
If you wish a salary position you normally have to live close to the office of the company employing you. e.g. Fugro Aberdeen expect yu to live in UK or close proximity to UK.
Suggest you see what ROV companies have offices in Oz.
Perth about the only place you would have a reasonable change of getting to drive a desk, could try S’pore but realisticaly you would need to live their to be considered…? Better to aligning yourself with one of the more established ROV companies dayrate less $$$ but have a more consistiency…
Sorry gents just to clarify i was looking for a contract job offshore, i want to move away from the agency work as they are to unreliable. At the end of the last swing after working for ….. I was issued with a rosted for the next five months. Then to the suprise of one week later to be told manning levels have been dropped because the company we have been working for has got 4 new trainees and they have taken the experienced guys spots. The superviors have have to drop also to snr pt’s and the snr pt’s have been give the flick as they have also change they manning requirements to in-house.
