Gents,
It appears that I jumped the gun on this one and in a grumpy, mid-trip haze, I misjudged the originator of this post. You know when you just want to be somewhere else! Anywhere!
He has been trying to contact me and appears to be genuine in all intentions. Note to self : Sack the secretary!
I still do think that agencies do ‘fish’, however. But there may also be some genuine enquiries intentions out there too.

Yes your over reaction and your willingness to jump in a slag someone off as quick as possible is pretty much expected and on par with all the rest of the whiners on this website (that has rapidly sunk to either a slagging forum or venting site for sad offshore workers). I am sure your apology is gratefully recieved and really makes a huge difference to the guy, he has probably not been able to sleep with all the worry etc.
