It appears that I jumped the gun on this one and in a grumpy, mid-trip haze, I misjudged the originator of this post. You know when you just want to be somewhere else! Anywhere! 😳
He has been trying to contact me and appears to be genuine in all intentions. Note to self : Sack the secretary!
I still do think that agencies do ‘fish’, however. But there may also be some genuine enquiries intentions out there too.

Yes your over reaction and your willingness to jump in a slag someone off as quick as possible is pretty much expected and on par with all the rest of the whiners on this website (that has rapidly sunk to either a slagging forum or venting site for sad offshore workers). I am sure your apology is gratefully recieved and really makes a huge difference to the guy, he has probably not been able to sleep with all the worry etc.
