On The BBC 2 program why was BP refered to as British Pertrolum and was never refrered to as it Legal multinational conglomerate name world wide as Beyond Petroleum??

Fair play to Tony Hayward, I think he gave a fair account of himself in the interview, but what ever happened to the "Company MAN" the man that made the calls on the Deepwater Horizon and had the power to stop operations, ALLSTOPFORSAFETY.

Contrary to popular beliefs most people offshore today are highly educated and informed Professional personnel operating to high standards in a very hazardous environment, who bar one want to go home to their families in one peace as well as their mates they work with.

This is not a 9 to 1630 job, it’s a high risk environment 24 7 with to many disasters and personnel lost.

    Just my thoughts

‘Beyond Petroleum’ is a company slogan not the company name.

And what happened to every other person on there, each one who we keep getting told all the time offshore has the right (and duty) to stop the job if they feel it is dangerous or unsafe.
